Yǎng Shēng 養生 means nourishing/nurturing life and is the root of Traditional Chinese Medicine, first mentioned in texts that date over 2000 years ago.
It consists of all the practices and ways in which we can nourish our body, mind, and spirit each day to enrich our lives, maintain our health and well-being and achieve vital longevity. These practices involve spiritual cultivation, harmonious relationships with family, friends, and community, living in harmony with the changing seasons, adjusting diet, exercising the body, regulating emotions and so much more.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is an umbrella term that encompasses several treatment modalities. In my practice, I am licensed to utilize Acupuncture, Herbal Prescriptions, Lifestyle, and Dietary Therapy, Cupping Therapy, Gua Sha, Face Reading, Massage, Moxibustion, and Auricular therapy.
Hi, I’m Sandra Robertson
I am a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCM.P), practicing at Renew Health in the Royal Oak Shopping Center in Victoria, BC.
I treat women’s health concerns in all the different phases of a woman’s life including menstrual issues, fertility, pregnancy, post-partum, and menopause symptoms.
I welcome children into my practice and just released a new book, Treating Children with Chinese Dietary Therapy.
I provide a relaxing, comfortable, and nurturing atmosphere offering support and guidance as you bloom. We are all so different, every one of us individually unique in personality, health history, five-element body type, and symptomology. Traditional Chinese Medicine treats the individual, taking into consideration all of the factors above to create a customized treatment plan.
I have had an amazing experience with Sandra. She is my first Acupuncturist and my experience has been extremely healing. Sandra is attentive, full of knowledge and creates a calming environment. I leave my treatments feeling renewed and energized and many of the ailments I came to see her about are receding; absolutely fabulous for hormone balancing! Thanks Sandra!Lindsey Y.
Thank you so much for your support and care through my fertility and pregnancy journey. You are amazing at your practice and always make me feel very calm and relaxed.Melissa E.
